New York, NY - Today's Diageo/Hotline Daily Tracker Poll finds that McCain-Palin have narrowed Obama-Biden's lead to two points. Specifically, 46% of likely voters say they support the Obama-Biden ticket, 44% of likely voters say they support the McCain-Palin ticket and 9% of likely voters are undecided.

Spotlight on the Issues
The Diageo/Hotline Daily Tracker finds that likely voters are split as to who would do the best job handling the economy. As of Saturday's October 4 Daily Tracker - the first day the Poll reported data only among likely voters - Obama led McCain 45%-40% on this metric. Today, 42% of likely voters say McCain would the best job and 42% of likely voters say Obama would do the best job.
However, among the 62% of likely voters who say the economy is the most important issue facing the country, Obama-Biden leads McCain-Palin 49%-40%.
On other issues, the Poll shows that Obama maintains an 18-point lead on who would better manage health care (50%-32%), McCain bests Obama by six points on national security (48%-42%) and McCain edges Obama on energy policies (43%-42%).
